Volunteers

Tons of thanks to the many Volunteers who have not only soothed and served residents and evacuees of the Pass Christian community from the early days following Katrina's pounding the Coast, but have benefically continued to support the City financially --- and with on-going work-groups.
Some evidence of these wonderful contributions of sweat and dollars can be seen in the Revival of Memorial Park --- and less obvious --- but with heartfelt thanks from the owners of the many houses that were gutted out --- then cleaned --- and more recently with helping-hands are performing in the restoration and rebuilding process.

A number of cities and communities throughout the States have procalimed themselves as Sister Cities in showing that they want to stay the course and continue their support month after month and year after year until the job is done.

Some past Volunteer efforts that benefited the Pass can be found below:

A group called 'Persevere' has been living on St Paul Ave since Winter 2006 and have been very active in getting Pass Christian back up and into Recovery --- They are Boston College grads who will remain until June 2007.
These Grads do a lot of "Grunt Work", but also, like Jennifer Marsh, take time out to enjoy the many amenities of the Pass.

Rebuild the Pass
Rolling Meadows High School (Rolling Meadows, IL) and Wheeling High School (Wheeling, IL) are working together to raise money to support the Pass Christian community.  All money that we raise will be given directly to the Rotary Club of Pass Christian and their Rebuild Homes Project.  We are currently collecting money within our two schools and have been trying to get other schools in our area also involved.
In addition, we will be meeting with our local  Rotary Clubs in October.
We also have online donation capability as we have sent information on this project to some of our alumni and community members and leaders.
